This skid-mounted unit is designed to treat 8,000 BPD of crude oil produced by offshore oil wells. The heat exchanger raises the temperature of the crude emulsion decreasing the oil viscosity. A high voltage grid system enhances coalescence and gravity separation of the water droplets. Pipeline quality crude and produced salt water are discharged from the unit.
