Hydrocyclone Unit

PRODUCED WATER TREATMENT SKID

PETREX Job No.  J0053

Delivered:  January 1996

Location:  FPSO Gulf of Thailand

This unit is designed to remove crude oil from 25,000 BPD of produced salt water.  Separation of the oil droplets from the continuous water phase is achieved by enhanced gravity separation utilizing multiple hydrocyclones.  Clean water exits the hydrocyclones and enters a degassing/surge tank and then is discharged overboard.  Oil removed by the hydrocyclones enters a reject oil surge drum and is then recombined with the primary produced oil stream.
